This is a new top-head drive rotary rig, with greater depth capabilities than the SS-150K. 

 

The rig has top-head pullback capabilities of 185,000 pounds while drilling, and for running / retrieving drill pipe and casing.

 

The mast is 62 feet 5 inches overall length, and allows 51 feet working space above the breakout table. The table is equipped with with a 24" diameter removeable master bushing. Table has standard API hole dimensions for accepting standard API slips. Maximum hook load is 185,000 pounds.

 

Rig is set up with a hydraulic powered mast mounted single rod loader to facillitate loading rods under the tophead.

 

The tophead is hydrostatically powered with a controlled variable rotation speed and maximum torque of 140,000-in. pounds. Rotation speed from 0 to 50 RPM in high torque mode, and 0 to 140 rpm in low torque mode.Air / fluid course is 3" diameter equipped with a flotation sub to allow smooth drill pipe connection and equipped with a 4-1/2" API IF pin.Adapter sub, 4-1/2" IF Box to 4" FH pin, x 24" long installed.

 

Rig has maximum static pulldown capacity of 30,000 pounds, speed of 0 to 209 feet per minute.

 

The rig is equipped with a swinging jib winch, hydraulically driven with planetary gear reduction. The drum is equipped with 200 feet of 5/8" cable, bare drum speed is 140 FPM. Bare line pull is 8,000 pounds.

 

There are two breakout tongs with hangers and counterbalances. System includes a hydraulic cylinder and cable on both sides facilitating the opperation of the tongs in either make-uo or break-out mode. Tongs are furnished with latch jaws from 2-3/8" to 10-3/4" diameter catch sizes.

 

The rig has 3" fluid piping located on deck full length of rig with control valve. 2" fluid bypass lines with air activated valves are also located before and after the main control valve for access or discharge applications. A standpipe with hinge hose and rotary hose are mounted in the mast.

 

Rig is equiopped with six 48" 60 watt flourescent lights and two 500-watt quartz flood lights equipped for auxilliary connection to provide work lighting in mast and at breakout table.

 

A 40 GPM Myers water injection pump is powered hydraulically, and has a variable speed control, and necessary piping.

 

The rig is equipped with a pipe racking board, with a capacity of 7,000 feet drill pipe. Fingers are set up for 3.5" OD pipe.

 

A hydraulically powered pipe spinner for 2-7/8" tp 4-1/2" diameter pipe is included.

 

This rig is ideal for gas wells, medium to shallow oil wells, deep water wells, and for deep scientific drilling projects.
